The cloud with the Blue lining

Hi everyone! Welcome to my new blog! I hope you enjoy reading and following my journeys.
Great news is that I am back in action! Thanks to my awesome physio Dave and trainer Tim, my rehab has gone exceptionally well, and my knee got the all clear to return to snow last week! I have been working so hard the past few months trying to get it back as strong as ever, and I am so thrilled and relieved it has paid off! A huge thank you to everyone who has helped me through these past few tough months.

Since receiving the news that I could get back on snow, it has been a busy 2 weeks of uni exams, packing, training, packing and some celebrating too! On Saturday night, my parents, Lachie and I attended the Sydney University Blues Dinner where I received my 'Blue' in skiing - the highest sporting honour at university. It was so special to attend the dinner in the Great Hall, and to receive my blazer along with 35 other athletes from various sports. I am so excited, honoured and privileged to have received this award. I've put some photos below so you can have a look!

The next night after the dinner, I flew out to Europe. Exhausted from the past few weeks, I was dreading the long flight. I think Emirates must have sensed this because they gave me an upgrade to business class on the 15 hr leg from Sydney to Dubai. I couldn't believe my luck! I caught up on much needed rest and even indulged in a class of champagne on take-off. It would've been rude not to!

I have just arrived in Munich and I can tell you that it is really warm. About 8 degrees and from the plane I could only see green :( But I hear there is some snow forecast in the next few days so fingers crossed the temperatures plummet and the skies open up! I can't wait to get back on skis again, even if it will probably be on the packed glacier the first week or so.

I look forward to updating you all soon! Stay tuned!

All my love,

Lav Xx
